Keep your access point Secure
Wi-Fi network for your workplace if in use should be secure, encrypted, and password protected.

I am no IT professional; these tips are just some of the steps I took in setting up a home WI-FI network in the work- from- home era when we moved houses. This is still applicable in our hybrid work environment.
How to keep your WI-FI network secure
Here are some ways to protect your WI-FI networks.
- Protect your Wi-Fi network

This involves setting up your wireless access point or router in such a way that it does not show the network name. The network name is known as the Service Set Identifier (SSID). The access point/router lists the names of network on your smartphone or laptop so your devices can find and connect to your WI-FI network. When you see a padlock sign by the network name it means you need a password to access the router. You can change the default network name and password to keep your WI-FI secure.
- Turn WI-FI encryption.

- Turn on WI-FI firewall

- Use a VPN
This is recommended for connecting to the company network.
