While you maybe taking a holiday, the cybermonkeys/monsters on the net never do – always working to stay one step ahead.Now that we are leaving 2020 behind (in chronological order of course), let’s plan to be more alert with our online safety. COVID-19, a virus, a tiny invisible foe has hit us badly, it would be double tragedy to get plundered by the biological as well as cyber foes.
Yes, I am talking about Cybersecurity. And you dont have to be intimidated by that word.Let’s go back to the basics.
Cybersecurity simply means plans or course of action you take to protect you, your computer,computer systems or devices on the internet from unauthorized attacks and hacks (AICPA 2020).
Digital trends existed before COVID-19. COVID-19 accelerated digital trend and remote work and life. And guess what? There are lots of opportunities and challenges as well as winners and losers. When I read about unemployment dollars lost to fraudsters, while we have millions of Americans out of work, and States having budget shortfalls, that makes my blood boil.
