According to Konbriefing Judicial Branch – Lincoln, Nebraska, USA (Lancaster County) internal intranet suffered a cyberattack last month.

How did it happen? 

Hackers tried to use.. 

As far as we know according to Govertment Tech hackers gained unauthorized access to the state’s courts internal intranet. 

Who was affected? 

It has been reported that this cyber-attack was part of a wider cyberattack against government entities. 

What was compromised? 

Data breach 

According to the court administrator no sensitive data relating to court cases or personally identifiable information was compromised and investigations reveal a screenshot of the intranet was posted on the web.

Which group was responsible for the cyber-attack? 

All we have is a group claimed responsibility and posted a screenshot of the intranet. 

What has been done to mitigate the risk of loss? 

Pre and Post Diseater Management 

  • The Administrative Office of Courts and Probation acted quickly to review the logs and assess the nature and scope of the attack. 
  • The branch remains vigilant and committed to maintaining the highest level of cybersecurity, proactively taking measures to prevent future attacks from occurring.
