OWASP Threat and Safeguard Matrix
From the information we have, here are the steps taken to mitigate loss.
- The incident is being thoroughly assessed and resolved to ensure that the affected systems and services are restored as soon as possible.
- However, since a data breach cannot be ruled out, the relevant state data protection commissioners have been informed.
- As a result of this incident, the websites and online services of many chambers of crafts are currently unavailable. The members of the affected chambers can still reach out to them by phone, email, and on-site.
- The Trier Chamber of Crafts has temporarily installed a replacement homepage due to a security incident. Contact details of various departments are available on the homepage, and Chamber employees can still be reached in person, by phone, and by email.
- The chambers are still conducting examinations, further training courses, and inter-company apprenticeship instruction (ÜLU) as scheduled.
- Disconnecting from the network may cause processing delays, and the Chamber apologizes for any inconvenience caused to its members.
- All affected chambers of crafts throughout Germany apologize for the inconvenience caused and ask for their members’ understanding.
- The restoration of websites and online services is uncertain, but an IT team is working to make them accessible again.
