According to an article on X.com, Eneo  a renowned company in the energy sector in Cameroon has recently faced a challenging situation because of a cyberattack that has affected its computer systems. The incident has caused some company computers to be temporarily unavailable online, with several applications taken offline. 

Who was impacted?

Despite the cyberattack, the prepaid service remains operational, and IT teams are working tirelessly to restore both pre and postpaid services gradually.

  • Eneo understands that this situation may cause inconvenience to their esteemed customers, and sincerely apologizes for any disruption it may cause.  
  • The company is making efforts to handle issues as quickly as possible and has put in place measures to improve the speedy handling of issues. 
  •  As a responsible corporate citizen, Eneo urges our customers to adopt energy-efficient practices such as turning off lights and air conditioners when not in use and setting the AC to a lower temperature to reduce electricity usage. This will not only help to conserve energy but will also lessen the strain on available electricity systems.
