What happened?
On June 10, 2023, Haynes International Inc began to suffer a network outage that suggested cyber-attack.

Which systems/data were affected?

This cyber incident resulted in various aspects of the network being down and some data were copied from the network. There is not enough information to determine if the threat actors had access to customer or employee’s information
Who is responsible?
As at the latest update, no threat actors have been identified except that this is a cyberattack.
How did the company react to mitigate loss?

- As soon as it was determined that there was a cyberattack, the company got third party specialists to help investigate the source of the outage, determine the effect of the cyberattack, and restore the company’s systems to perform the way it should.
- Even though the various features of the company’s network were down, currently the company’s manufacturing operations are working but with a little bit of inefficiencies.
- Additionally, the company has brought back online a major part of administrative, sales, financial and customer service functions.
- Despite the fact the cyber-attack along with the company incident response plans resulted in a delay in shipping products, the full effect of this incident on the company’s quarterly financial results is not yet known
Where is the company on the restoration journey?

On June 2023, Haynes company issued a full press release on the efforts it is making to restore full operations after the cyber-attack.
The investigation of this cyberattacks and what the company is doing to get back to full operating mode is ongoing and has been included in Exhibit 99.1 of 8-k quarterly filling, which is a current report of major events that should be brough to the attention of shareholders.
